Asus recently launched its latest mid-range budget smartphone- Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 aimed at the Indian market. Asus launched this phone to take on brands like Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung which currently holds the market cap for midrange and budget phones.This phone will give a huge competition to Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi Note 5 pro.Asus will have an extra edge over Xiaomi as it launched the Asus zenfone max pro m1 at a very aggressive price starting from Rs. 10,999 for 3GB RAM variant and 12,999 for 4GB RAM variant.Unlike Xiaomi's flash sale, this phone will be easily available on Flipkart from May 5.This smartphone looks similar to Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi Note 5 pro in terms of design and specification.

Talking about the specs the Zenfone Max pro M1 and the Redmi Note 5 pro share a lot of similar features., including a 6-inch full HD+ 18:9 display. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC based on 14 nm technology, Zenfone has few advantages over Redmi as it has a bigger 5000 mAh battery and it runs on latest Android 8.1 oreo, it will also get Android P and Android Q updates.It has a stock Android interface and a brighter screen than Redmi .This phone also features a face id. In-camera department ZenFone has dual camera setup of 13 MP+5 MP camera and on the front, there is an 8 MP wide-angle selfie camera.You can easily get some great shots using this camera. It is equipped with all the sensors like Fingerprint, gyroscope etc.

My opinions

First of all this is a budget centric smartphone,its suitable for those who are looking to buy a decent smartphone under low budget.This device is suitable for those who want a big battery backup for their mobile.Overall this phone is a complete package from performance perspective to camera quality and display, which makes it a balanced device. Asus Max Pro M1 can be used as a long term device as the company had promised 2 major Android version updates and other regular Android security patch updates.As a consumer one should choose device which is long lasting and reliable and this phone ticks both of those check boxes.
