HYPERLOOP : Transport of Future

With India aiming to set up its first bullet train before the scheduled time and a new Civil Aviation policy focus on promoting air travel, the inclination of policy is shifting towards faster and cheaper travel the high rate of internal migration in India in search of Business and livelihood opportunities create the need for a reliable and fast mode of transport.

For this context the Hyperloop technology is under development in USA is promising to be the new breakthrough.India is too considering to conduct feasibility study of this new technology study suggest that people can be booked in India within 38 months to make it possible to travel from Chennai to Bangalore in Resident 30 minutes.

Concept of Hyperloop

The Hyperloop is a concept proposed by Elon Musk CEO of Aerospace firm SpaceX and innovative automobile company Tesla.It is a reaction to California High Speed Rail system developments.

Mask’s Hyperloop consists of two massive vacuum tubes stretching between San Francisco and Los Angeles.it has pods which can carry passenger travel through the tube at a whooping speed of over 1200 Km/hr. For Propulsion, magnetic accelerated will be planted along the length of the tube propelling the pods forward. The tubes would house a low pressure environment surrounding the pod with a cushion of air that permits the pod to move safely at such high speed like a puck gliding over a Air Hockey table.Tubes can withstand quakes and crashes.

A one way trip on the Hyperloop is projected to take about 35 min for comparison,travelling the same distance by car takes roughly 6 hours.If this technology comes into reality at a larger scale then Hyperloop project will be a game changer transportation mode. Hyperloop is better than domestic fight as it will travel faster than a commercial Airline plane and at the same time, a cheaper option. No need for people to wait for hours at airport for their flight. 

With arrival of Hyperloop Technology in India will be a boost for the Indian economy and inland transport system.It will create tons of economic opportunities for Indians as they will be able to reach other cities in few minutes without taking any flights.
